In most cases, no. Physiotherapy is direct access in the UAE, which means you can reach out for a consultation without first seeing another doctor. If something in your history suggests you should see another specialist, I will always tell you honestly.
I take time to understand your story, listen to your concerns, and look at how you move. From there I explain what may be contributing to your problem in plain language, and give you clear, evidence-based guidance you can act on.

It should not be about forcing through severe pain. Good physiotherapy guidance is always adapted to your comfort and your stage of recovery. Some gentle discomfort during movement can be normal, but the approach should feel supportive, never punishing.
Every body and every concern is different. Some issues settle quickly, while others need more time and consistency. During a consultation I can give you a realistic sense of what to expect for your specific situation.
It helps to note when your symptoms started, what makes them better or worse, and any relevant medical history or reports. Wearing comfortable clothing that lets you move easily is also useful.
